about me
I am an associate marriage and family therapist. I received my master's in counseling psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley in 2022, but before that I worked in elementary schools in Richmond, CA, and Chicago, IL, as a mindfulness and wellness instructor since 2014.
I have always been passionate about healing and ways to apply coping skills and emotional regulation tools to my daily life as a girl with big feelings and a busy mind. My own struggle with my self and the world around me brought me to seek many different forms of healing. It took me years of navigating through my twenties and honing my own inner wisdom to learn to take the pieces of the lessons that served me and leave the rest. I have my own story, my own journey, my own voice. And you do too.
As a therapist I believe my role is best served guiding you towards your inner wisdom. I utilize practices from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients become acquainted with and come to love every part of themselves. Mindfulness-based body awareness and breathing practices to help clients truly feel their emotions in their physical body and not just their mind. CBT thought process exercises, because sometimes we need to retrain our brain to form new neuropathways that serve us better.
I use humor and creativity to support clients in developing their own creative voice, whether that be creativity in problem solving, relationships, art, design, dance. I have been making art in many different forms since as early as I can remember. Writing stories and making my own cartoon strips as a child, and sewing, crocheting, painting, collaging, and ceramics as an adult.
In my free time I like to spend hours at the ceramics studio, go hiking in the woods with loved ones, and nibble on my cats’ cheeks.
